Outdoor trampolines bring active play into the backyard, but assembling a large piece of outdoor equipment can feel challenging, especially for first-time trampoline owners.
Good preparation makes the installation process easier. Before opening the boxes, review these trampoline assembly tips and locate the instruction manual for your specific model.
AOTOB trampolines include the basic installation tools required for assembly. Because the frame, enclosure, and attachment system vary between models, always follow the manual included with your trampoline.
1. Choose a Flat Installation Area
Place the trampoline on firm, level ground. An uneven surface can prevent the legs from sitting correctly and affect the stability of the finished structure.
Clear away rocks, branches, toys, garden equipment, and other debris. Leave sufficient open space around and above the trampoline, keeping it away from fences, walls, trees, swimming pools, electrical wires, and other obstacles.
Do not attempt to level the trampoline by placing loose objects underneath the legs.
2. Check the Parts Before Assembly
Open all packages and arrange the components by type. Compare every part with the list in the instruction manual before beginning.
Check for:
- Frame sections
- Trampoline legs
- Jumping mat
- Springs or elastic cords
- Spring installation tool
- Safety pad
- Lower and upper enclosure poles
- Protective foam sleeves
- Safety net
- Bolts, screws, washers, and other hardware
- Ladder and accessories included with the model
If a part is missing or damaged, stop the installation and contact AOTOB Customer Support before using the trampoline.
3. Use the Correct Manual for Your Model
Trampolines of different sizes and designs do not always follow the same installation sequence. Confirm the model number and product size before following a manual or assembly video.
The model information can be found on the packaging, product label, instruction manual, or order details.

4. Assemble the Frame on the Ground
Arrange the frame sections in their intended shape before connecting them. Attach the frame pieces and legs in the order shown in the manual.
Check each connection carefully. The frame should sit evenly on the ground without visible gaps between connected sections.

5. Attach the Springs in a Symmetrical Order
Do not install all the springs consecutively around one side of the trampoline. This creates uneven tension and makes the remaining springs more difficult to attach.
Begin with the spring locations identified in the product manual. Attach springs at opposite points around the frame, then continue filling the remaining spaces symmetrically. This distributes tension more evenly across the jumping mat.
Use the included spring tool and wear protective work gloves. Keep your hands and fingers away from the spring connection points while the springs are under tension.

6. Secure the Safety Pad
After all springs have been installed, position the safety pad over the springs and frame edges.
Attach every strap or fastener underneath the trampoline. Check that the padding lies flat and completely covers the springs and exposed frame sections.
Do not use the trampoline if the safety pad is missing, damaged, or incorrectly positioned.
7. Identify the Upper and Lower Enclosure Poles
Organize the enclosure poles before attaching them to the frame. Separate the upper and lower sections and install any required protective foam sleeves.
Attach the lower safety poles and trampoline legs as directed in the manual. Connect the upper pole sections only after the lower sections have been secured.
Do not force together pole sections that do not align. Recheck their position and part numbers in the instruction manual.
8. Install the Safety Net Carefully
Follow the model-specific instructions when attaching the safety net. AOTOB models use different inner-net, outer-net, hook, sleeve, or pole attachment designs.
Make sure the net is attached at every required point and that the entrance is positioned correctly. After installation, test the zipper and safety buckles and check for open gaps around the jumping area.

9. Complete a Final Stability Check
Before allowing anyone to use the trampoline, inspect the completed structure.
Confirm that:
- The frame is fully connected.
- All bolts and fasteners are tightened.
- Every leg rests firmly on the ground.
- The springs are correctly attached.
- The safety pad covers the frame and springs.
- The enclosure poles are secure.
- The net is connected without open gaps.
- The zipper and buckles close properly.
- No component is loose, missing, or damaged.
If the trampoline moves, tilts, or does not sit evenly, do not use it until the installation has been corrected.
10. Inspect the Trampoline Regularly
Assembly is not the final safety check. Inspect the trampoline regularly and after severe weather.
Look for:
- Loose bolts or frame connections
- Stretched, damaged, or missing springs
- Tears in the jumping mat
- Damaged safety padding
- Loose or torn enclosure netting
Bent or unstable safety poles
Rust, corrosion, or other visible wear
Replace damaged components with parts designed for your trampoline model before allowing further use.
